Terms & Conditions
These terms govern all service bookings, quotes, and timber repairs undertaken by Balancedmotionlab. By confirming a booking with us, you agree to these operating conditions.
Parties and scope
These terms constitute an agreement between Balancedmotionlab, operating from 52 Dale Street, Manchester, M1 2HN, and the individual or business booking our services. We carry out structural timber assessments, timber repair, joinery stabilization, and wood refinishing on site or in our workshop. No retail goods or physical products are sold via this website.
Booking and quotes
Quotes are issued based on measurements, site visits, or customer photos and remain valid for thirty calendar days from issuance. A booking is confirmed once the client approves the written quotation by email or telephone and pays any requested materials deposit. We reserve the right to revise quotes if initial customer measurements or descriptions prove materially inaccurate upon physical inspection.
Performance of the work and access to the premises
Clients must provide clear, safe access to the work area, including a cleared floor boundary, working lighting, and a working 230-volt mains power outlet. If our team arrives and cannot access the repair site due to locked gates, uncleared personal belongings, or hazardous conditions, a standard call-out charge will apply. We make every reasonable effort to keep dust contained using vacuum extraction, but fine sanding dust may still occur in work zones.
Prices, payment after completion and invoices
Final payment is due immediately upon completion of the agreed repair work. We accept payment strictly by cash on completion or by electronic bank transfer against our written invoice. We do not maintain card terminals, card processing setups, or payment links. The customer must inspect the repaired timber alongside our carpenter before signing off on the job.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Bookings may be rescheduled or cancelled without cost up to twenty-four hours before the agreed arrival time. Cancellations received less than twenty-four hours prior to an appointment will be charged a late cancellation charge of forty-five pounds. Any costs already incurred for custom-milled or pre-ordered timber pieces will be deducted from any refundable deposit balance.
Liability, insurance and complaints
We carry two million pounds in public liability insurance covering our site activities. Our liability for any claim arising from our work is limited to the total value of the service fee paid for that specific repair job, except where liability cannot be excluded by English law. Any complaints regarding joinery or finish quality must be submitted in writing within fourteen days of completion so we can inspect and rectify the work.
Governing law
These terms of service and any agreements entered into with Balancedmotionlab are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
